Man has always been inspired by the wonders of nature. He has always been curious to know the secrets of nature and remained in search. Physics plays an important role to understand this physical world. In our daily life, we hardly find a device where physics is not involved.
Consider pulleys that make it easy to lift a load. Consider the means of transportation such as cars and airplanes, domestic appliances such as air-conditioners, washing machines and microwave ovens. Every invention is born out of the concept of Physics.
To add to the essence of this very important subject, we are very glad to launch our yet another journal, the Physics Journal 'Journal of Nuclear Physics, Material Sciences, Radiation and Applications (J. Nucl. Phy. Mat. Sci. Rad. A.)'. It is a venture to promote research in the field of Physics and an exchange as well as an acceptance of intellectual ideas. The aim behind this initiative is that the journal should go far beyond its regional and national boundaries and it must promote a culture of free exchange of research and ideas among the academicians.
The Chitkara University Physics Journal will include an in-depth study of the various branches of Physics. I am very confident of the fact that 'Journal of Nuclear Physics, Material Sciences, Radiation and Applications' will serve as a platform to promote research in the vast and dynamic field of physics between the academicians.

Physics is the natural science that involves the study of matter and its motion through various dimensions of space and time along with various other related concepts. Broadly speaking, Physics is the general analysis of nature in order to understand the behaviour of nature and various phenomenons related to it. The inclusion of astronomy in Physics as one of its branch has made it the oldest academic discipline involving research.
The various researches in Physics have contributed significantly towards the advancement in Science and Technology as the boundary of the subject are not just limited and bound in water tight compartments but are interdisciplinary.
We feel very pleased to announce the upcoming release of our Physics Journal 'Journal of Nuclear Physics, Material Sciences, Radiation and Applications', through which we also aim to contribute our best to the world of Physics. This journal is an endeavour to abreast the scientists, budding researchers and academicians with the latest developments in the discipline of Physics and its contribution in the advancement of science and technology.
I am very sure that this journal will provide an unparalleled opportunity for the growth and innovation of all those involved in the study of nature and its various phenomenon. Physics is the most basic of the physical sciences. From Chemistry to Geology, from Biology to Cosmology, we understand science in terms of the concepts developed in Physics. Not only this, but many of the tools on which the advances of science and technology depend are the direct products of Physics. The interests and concerns of physicists have always formed the basis of future technology. All major scientific inventions depend on the advances made in Physics. The importance of Physics to society today is most easily represented by our reliance on technology. Many of the technologies that are continually transforming the world we live in can be directly traced back to the important researches made in Physics. Therefore, we at Chitkara University, aim to bring a change in the world of Physics by bringing out a very prestigious Physics journal named as 'Journal of Nuclear Physics, Material Sciences, Radiation and Applications (J. Nucl. Phy. Mat. Sci. Rad. A.).' Through this journal, our main motive is to provide a deeper understanding of Physics topics and an insight into the current research in Physics and related areas. I am very sure that this journal will definitely bring about a revolution in the research area of Physics and will add another feather in the cap of Chitkara University.

The role of scientists and engineers has always been helpful in fulfilling demands of building a more sustainable, stable and equitable world. The technological advancement can undoubtedly be enhanced by our understanding of the nature of matter, energy and their interactions. The laws of Physics based on mathematical analysis focuses on the study of basic nature of the natural world. The concepts and techniques developed through Physics are therefore useful in various disciplines of science and technology. Keeping the above objective in mind, we aim to bring out a Research Journal in Physics named as 'Journal of Nuclear Physics, Material Sciences, Radiation and Applications (J. Nucl. Phy. Mat. Sci. Rad. A.)'. Through this Journal, our mission is to encourage young scientists and technocrats to contribute towards the growth of scientific knowledge. Our endeavor will be towards the critical understanding of our increasingly challenged world. I am confident that the Journal 'Journal of Nuclear Physics, Material Sciences, Radiation and Applications (J. Nucl. Phy. Mat. Sci. Rad. A.)' will explore the potential to lead a deeper understanding of the universe.
